Dobsonian Telescopes And Amateur Telescope Making
Since John Dobson made his first telescope, and made it for sale, there has been a great interest in telescopes. There is no doubt in my mind, that the Dobsonian telescopes have made a big impact on astronomy.
Many people have made telescopes and joined the ranks of amateur telescope making, thanks to the Dobsonian telescopes design. In fact it can be as simple, as buying a telescope, and then making a Dobsonian mount yourself.
Amateur telescope making just got easier - thanks to the Dobsonian mount! There is a lot of benefits to the Dobsonian, and I guess this is why it has made such an impact in astronomy.
One thing is for sure. A cheap telescope with a cheap tripod can easily be turned into a much better telescope, with a bit of engineering and making a Dobsonian mount!
