Who Is John Dobson?
John Dobson is an acclaimed amateur astronomer who was born in 1915. He used a basic maneuvering mechanics that were used on historical canons to create a telescope on an apparatus that was easy to assemble, take out in public and move around. The Dobsonian telescope design that he made, led to a proliferation of telescope designs and sealed his name in amateur astronomy circles.
Since then tens of thousands of people have got into amateur astronomy. Because of the ease of use that the Dobsonian telescopes exhibit, they are renounced for ease of use. And with the smaller versions, the Dobsonian telescopes are very portable.
