When someone recently said for me to check out a hubble space telescope screensaver I was inclined to say no! I have been on the net for a few years, and working in IT for some years I have seen some unscrupulous websites try and put spyware on the computer. But, she twisted my leg, and I decided to give it a go.

Went to the site and looked through all of the terms of condition before embarking on this trek!

I then clicked to download. I was thinking now somethings gonna end up happening here, its going to try and give me spyware :S. It prompts to download, then something amazing happened, it tells you - we are going to offer you install a toolbar (which you can say no to), then it will put a link on your desktop (easy to delete). And that’s it.

I installed the hubble space telescope screensaver software and checked for any changes to the system which may cause problems. Nothing! Everything gave the greenlight. Unchecking download toolbar, and deleting shortcut to a product on the desktop worked.

The pictures on these screensavers on the site look great, but I was wondering if it was anything like a McDonalds’ way of doing things. Look at that picture of a Big Mac (I’m vegetarian now ~ wonder why that happened, lol), order big mac, and the big mac you get is nothing like a big mac. Back to the review!

The hubble telescope screensaver turned out to be great. You get some great pictures from the hubble space telescope. Pictures like the breathtaking Sombrero Galaxy M104, Saturn, Jupiter and many others. It’s nice having the universe at your fingertips!

Does the hubble telescope screensaver have limitations; Yes. Does it add nasty programs on to your computer; No. Is it a great program, Yes, though it could have more features. Does it have great pictures; Yes, stunning.
